We all have regrets - we wish we'd said I love you one more time, or hugged just one second more. If only I had a nickel for every "if only."
If I had one more minute with my girls, I'd spend it hugging them and telling them how much I love them, how proud I am of them, how much they mean to me and how much I'm going to miss them.
I am going to buy this for Maddy's room. Words to live by.

I admore your strength. It seems when I start to get frustrated with my own situation, I see apost of yours and am inspired to change. I think I need one of those in my house also. Thank you.
I think that is very sweet and would look nice in Maddy's room. I know what you mean about making every second count. Matthew and I tell each other we love each other dozens of times a day and we never pass by the other one without a hug or at least a smile and an I love you. Good advice!
I agree! It seems that WAY too many evenings, bedtime is more of a struggle than it should be and we forget these important points.
I kick myself every time I let that happen.
This thought is particularly poignant coming from you.
I TOTALLY agree....no matter how hard the day was we always kiss our children and each other goodnight and tell them (and each other) that we love them.
I love it. Great advice.
I love that saying. Sorry I made you cry. Of everyone who reads my blog you understand of pain of losing someone you love. (I do hope I don't make you cry again!!)
You are such a good mom.
Sniffling a little. The thing is, your girls already know. Not that the minute with them wouldn't be precious, but I hope you don't think they didn't know how you feel about them. Because they do, even now as they look down on you from where they are.
