An Egg-ceptional Holiday

(Did you see what I did there? I'm so clever.)

I write this post with a mouthful of jelly beans I pilfered from Maddy's Easter candy haul. I'm also eyeballing her 2-foot high chocolate rabbit, wondering how I can sucessfully eat the ears without her noticing. I don't know why the ears hold such fascination for me. I swear they taste better that any other part of the rabbit. I told her I was going to eat the ears and she said I would get a bite of the feet, if I'm lucky. With an attitude like that, she might be missing the whole rabbit.

Anyway, I'm a bit cracked out on sugar, so here are pictures from Sunday's festivities.

And, yes, we had Jessica salad:

So how was your holiday?

Great pics. Oh I can't do the candy thing again. We had a wonderful Easter this year. To you and yours.

Love the photo of you and your dad, so sweet! Jellybeans are my downfall. I actually "stole candy from a baby" this weekend. Hey, she was too young for the sugary goodness!

Glad that you had the salad. I actually thought about that several times while I was preparing food for our celebrations. Did Maddy find the golden egg?

Oh, I'm so glad you made the Jessica salad.

The Easter Bunny left a golden egg with money in it here, too. Only ours was full of about $2 in shiny quarters and pennies. When Isaac found it, he said, "I'm rich!"

What fun!! That Jessica salad looks so good...I am going to make it. I gave my kids big bunnies with huge ears and I didn't even get a taste!

I think I have that same coat you're wearing.

From Wendy Uhl:
As I was loading eggs for the Easter Bunny to hide for Tony, I came across eggs we used with jessica and Kelli one year. The girls were 8 and 11, and we hid eggs for them, each marked with a "J" or a "K". I kept the eggs to use again one year, but never had the chance. They bring back such bitterweet memories every year.

I can see who you look like, my goodness, right down to the smile!
I ate the chocolate carrots my mom gave to Z the other day. I was PMS'ing and I don't think he noticed them being gone, his being 3 and all.
Today the boys spent half the morning munching on their left overs.
