In other news....

The St. Clair County State's Attorney has requested that a special grand jury review the evidence and decide whether or not to charge the officer with reckless homicide.
Here is the story. Here is the official Grand Juror Handbook, in case you were wondering just what the hell a grand jury does.

My wife (whose name is also Kim) and I found your blog through Mamalogues. We have two sons 14 and 17 and I can't even begin to imagine what you are going through. Just know that you are in our prayers daily.

Those are great photos. The girls are so beautiful. I hope that whatever comes from from the decision brings you a little bit of peace.

Thank you for sharing pictures of your daughters. They're absolutely beautiful and it's tragic - on an unimaginable level - that their lives ended so young and so violently.

I wish there was something I could do for you, even if it made you feel better for only one second. Please know I'm sending positive vibes your way.

Beautiful girls..but you already know that..
Knowing you through your blog really makes those news stories sound different..I'm angry.. In a way I wish I felt more personally and cared about other things I hear about but I don't think I'm that strong to have that many emotions.

I found your blog through Mamalogues. Something told me to click on your name. I've been praying for you and your family since I first heard of the accident. This weekend, our church said an intention for your daughters.

As a fellow mom, I just can't imagine what you are going through. Thanks for sharing your memories of your beautiful daughters with us.

I hope they bring this deliberation to a speedy end, so that you and your family can move on with your lives and keep remembering Jessica and Kelli the way they should be...as beautiful teenagers who seemed to love life, others and most of all, each other.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and Maddy.
