Just Say Hey

I ran into a girl I used to work with today. She just looked at me, and her eyes welled up and she said "I just don't know what to say to you." I told her, "just say hey."

I wonder how many people that I know see me in my building or on the street and don't say anything to me for fear of saying the wrong thing. Unless you say something horribly callous, I doubt you'll hurt my feelings.

A good friend told me that if they didn't treat me different, they wouldn't care. I guess. It still sucks. I don't have a lot of normalcy in my life right now, so just a friendly "Hey, how's it going?" means so much.

Hey. How's it going?

(That's so American. If you were here I'd say, "How's it going mate, orright?(alright?)")

Still thinking of you both.

Good for her to even say anything at all..I understand where "they" are coming from. In general when there is major STUFF going on weather it is a death in the family or something as horrible to your girls death we freak out..we don't want to offend anyone but we don't want to seem cold either. There is no maunal because everyone reacts different.
I wonder how the kids at your daughters school have been with her, she's at such a tender age..do they grasp what happened?

I think people just never know whether it is a good day, bad day, or what, and seeing you makes them think about what if it was them. I was thinking about you last night....I was taking Jake to gymnastics and it was pouring rain so hard I could hardly see. I even made a comment to him, about maybe we shouldn't go, but of course he started whining so I kept driving. A car drove past really fast and dumped a big bunch more water on my windshield and I about lost control of the car plus freaked a bit inside just because I REALLY couldn't see. I started to cry because I thought how stupid it would be if we got in an accident and I lost Jake because we were trying to get to a piddly activity, which made me think of you how you DID lose your girls. So I cried even more. So, hi. How are you doing today?

Kim,

Like others have said, I read you all the time just to check to see if you are working on being OK.

Just think soon, if it hasn't happened already the crocus and daffadils will be coming up.

HEY, a big HEY. I'm saying Hey. Today is Hump day. Only two more days till the weekend and you and Maddie can have some down time.

My prayers and best thoughts to you both.

Janelle

Hey, Kim! I've been reading your blog for a few weeks now and decided to post just to say "Hey!, I'm here and don't want to lurk anymore!" Can't pretend to know what you are going through, but know that my prayers and good wishes are with you and your daughter. Bless you both and I hope the path becomes easier for you.

I came over from Hola Isabel.

I relate to a lot of the things you said and well...I just understand a lot of it.

I would have emailed you privately, but I didn't see it on your sight. I just wanted to say hello and say how sorry I am.
